What You'll Do
As a Mechatronics Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing advanced motion control and robotic systems for our AI-powered capsule endoscopy platform. Your work will focus on designing and integrating precise magnetic navigation and actuation mechanisms that enable real-time, clinician-guided control of the capsule within the GI tract. You'll collaborate closely with a high-performing, multidisciplinary startup team—spanning robotics, software, clinical, and AI domains—to prototype, iterate, and refine mechatronics subsystems that drive diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort. This is a hands-on, impact-driven role at the forefront of robotic medical innovation, where your contributions will shape the future of minimally invasive diagnostics
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.

Experience in modeling motion control /robotic system behavior; performing system identification with hands-on testing/measuring on the system.

Experience with Matlab/Simulink (Python is a plus)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).

Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, etc.) is a strong plus.

Experience in virtual or augmented reality is a plus
Responsibilities:

Design, prototype, and iterate robotic systems and magnetic navigation mechanisms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and clinical) to integrate sensors, actuators, and wireless communication modules.

Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts and optimize performance.

Designing, implementing, and tuning the feedforward/feedback control loops for new and/or modified product configurations.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in mechatronics and related fields.

Conduct validation testing, failure analysis, and design optimization to meet regulatory standards (FDA, CE, etc.).

Maintain comprehensive documentation and participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
